Considering how last year went and the current state of things, do you have any plans for Halloween this year? Will you be going to any costume parties, handing out trick-or-treat candy, or just staying at home with the porch light off so no one will bother you?
I wasn’t around last year (I’m only 10.5 months old) but, from what I can gather, Mom and Dad were stuck with tons of candy because there were only two trick-or-treaters. Apparently, the lack of visitors wasn’t a total loss since the candy acted as a delicious topper for their ice cream over the next month or so.
I heard Dad mention awhile ago something about dressing up like a Ghostbuster and making me look like Slimer; then, we’d walk around the neighborhood for a few Instagrammable moments. The other night, my parents were talking about staying in on Halloween because my little, human brother will only be two-months-old, and it seemed a bit silly to carry him from house to house for sweet empty calories that would only add to their waistline. While Dad still contemplates whether or not he’ll get us in costume, both my parents seem content with the idea of simply putting the baby in a pumpkin onesie, handing out treats to trick-or-treaters, and calling it a day. Next year should be more eventful!
