At a time when most people are struggling along a city’s street—fighting crowds to return home, meeting a friend at an unknown restaurant, or jogging amongst the current of humanity—I’m at my happiest. It means I’m on a walk.

I can’t believe I’d been so clueless about my surroundings on all the walks previous to today. I must have always been more focused on goodies people dropped, until I tracked that butterfly toward the heavens. I got dizzy following the buildings into a blue abyss. I was reminded of what it’s like staring up at a Great Dane.
